Alentejo Pêra Manca White
One of the Portuguese wine with major prestige, made with a selection
of “castas” Antão Vaz e Arinto aged in French oak for
approximately 12 months. The white has partial barrel fermentation,
giving great richness and intensity of taste. Pêra Manca is the
designation that Cartuxa earmark for his wine of exception, and as
you can foresee this drink is practically legendary. Beautifully
curved and ripe, with peach, toasted and an intense series of fruit
and herbal flavors. Buttery and with notes of apple and white fruits,
Pêra Manca is graceful and elegant, with a persistent aftertaste,
slightly sour, mineral, dry with a strong body. Probably the best
example of Alentejo white wine, that reflects the elegance of its
homeland. Pairs excellently with fishes (especially swordfish) and
white grilled meats.
