Setúbal Quinta da Bacalhõa Red
Quinta da Bacalhõa is an old property belonged to the Portuguese
Royal Family. The palace of Bacalhõa and the surrounding area is
considered an artistic monument of relevance for the whole country.
In 1936 the palace was acquired and renovated by American Orlena
Scoville and her nephew, years after, decided to express all the
potential of the area and produce on the best wines in all Portugal.
It's a wine with a taste of licorice and a firm, stalky edge go with
wood aging and dry tannins, with blackcurrants fruit and acidity.
Don't miss a smooth texture from the wood aging. It's rich and juicy,
so you can foresee the ideal match with strong meat. It is a
rounded, powerful wine, good for aging.
