This wine is produced by Casa De Santar, elected Producer of the Year (2007) by Revista de Vinhos, and won many prizes like the Mundus Vini and the Silver prize in the International Wine Challenge. The prestigious estate from Dão offers for your cellar a great wine, that adds complexity to a deep drink, and instills between the lips a taste of wild fruits, cocoa and a mild minty touch. This flavour is combined with the a damson and dark plum, rounded by wood aging. As you can foresee, Dão Conde de Santar Red has a ripe tannins and a strong acidity, constraining a combination with meat, especially lamb, pork or beef stew.
